The Board of Elections & Registration consist of three members appointed by the Board of Commissioners for four- year staggered terms. The Board of Elections & Registration recommends, and the Board of County Commissioners appoints an Election Supervisor/Chief Register to conduct county elections, register citizens to vote, maintain list of registered voters, issue absentee ballots, disseminate information to the public, train poll workers, and assist the cities with their elections.

Announcement of New Ellerslie Polling Location
Following approval of the Harris County Board of Elections during their special called July 28th meeting, the Lodge at Ellerslie Park will serve as the new polling location for voters in the Ellerslie Precinct, effective immediately for the Nov. 3, 2026 election. All Ellerslie voters will be notified of this change via precinct cards that will be mailed in the coming weeks.
