County Begins SPLOST Continuation Plans

The county’s current Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) will end on March 31, 2019 and the Board of County Commissioners is preparing plans to ask the voters to continue the SPLOST for an additional six years beginning April 1, 2019 and ending March 31, 2025. The Board has tentatively scheduled an election for May 22, 2018. Storm Debris Disposal

Please take all storm debris to the Harris County Transfer Station located at 4070 Barnes Mill Road in Hamilton, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for no charge for Harris County and city residents. Please do not pile storm debris on the right-of-way. The county does not pick up storm debris and storm debris is not accepted at any of the convenience sites.
